VACANCIES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies of the Nigerian Law School:

DEPUTY DIRECTOR-GENERAL: CONSUASS7
Applicants should possess a minimum of a Second degree in Law fifteen publications and at least post qualification and cognate academic and administrative experience in senior positions. They are also expected to show evidence of experience in various facets of higher institutional administration and teaching. A doctorate degree in Law or a chair in any recognized University and practical experience in Law will be added advantage.


CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: CONTISS 13
Applicants should possess a good honors degree not below a Second Class Lower Division (2:2) from a recognized University with a minimum of thirteen years cognate administrative experience, preferably in an Institution of higher learning or a suitable organization. Membership of a professional body and a Masters degree will be added advantages.

LECTURER GRADE II: CONSUASS 3
Applicants must possess a good honors degree in Law not below second class lower division (2:2) from a recognized University, and a Masters degree in Law. A minimum of three (3) years of legal practice, teaching or relevant research is also required. Evidence of academic publications will be an advantage.

ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN: CONSUASS 1
Applicants must possess a good honors degree not below second class lower division (2:2) in Library Science from a recognized University. Computer literacy is a requirement.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: CONTISS 9
Applicants must possess a good honors degree not below second class lower division (2:2) from a recognized University with a minimum of seven years cognate experience in Administration.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER 1: CONTISS 8
Applicants must possess a good honors degree not below second class lower division (2:2) from a recognized University with a minimum of four years cognate experience.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER II: CONTISS 7
Applicants must possess a good honors degree not below second class lower division (2:2) from a recognized University and post NYSC experience.

ACCOUNTANT II: CONTISS 7
Applicants must possess a good honors degree not below second class lower division (2:2) from a recognized University. He/she must be computer literate and must have completed his/her NYSC

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Appointment will be full time and passionate and will be subject to probationary period of two years after which upon satisfactory work and conduct, the appointment would be confirmed. Other conditions of service are similar to those existing in Nigeria Universities as may be prescribed from time to time by the Council of Legal Education. Transfer from a public or an existing “Scheduled Authority” will be considered.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Applicants should submit twenty (20) copies of their application, CV, and certificates. Applicants that fail to meet requirement will not be considered.
Applications from persons in Government Service or Public Corporations should be submitted through each applicant’s Head of Institution or Scheduled Personnel Officer together with certified copies of confidential reports for the last three years. Candidates not in the public service or public corporations must each submit names of three referees, one of whom must be applicant’s present or last employer. Such referees should be asked by applicants to write ‘References’ direct to the undersigned. Only applications of candidates invited for interview will be acknowledged.

CLOSING DATE
Applications and supporting documents should be forwarded to the Secretary to the Council/Director of Administration, Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School, Bwari, P.M.B 170, Garki, Abuja to reach him not later than four weeks from the date of this publication. Applicants no complying with the above instructions will not be considered.
